Your Role as a SEND Teacher
* Deliver individualised, engaging lessons tailored to pupils with a range of learning needs.
* Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies to ensure every learner thrives.
* Collaborate with SENCOs and families to develop and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
* Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports emotional and social development.
* Work alongside support staff, therapists, and external professionals to provide holistic care.
* Uphold SEND legislation and school policies to maintain high standards of education and wellbeing.
* Provide guidance and leadership to Teaching Assistants and Learning Support staff.
What We're Looking For
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
* A degree or PGCE in Primary, Secondary, or Special Education.
* Experience in SEND settings is a plus, but not required.
* Strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices and behaviour management.
* Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills.
* A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to teaching.
* Additional training in safeguarding or first aid is advantageous.
