Deputy Nursery Manager - £36,000



This nursery is set within a woodland environment, with a strong focus on outdoor learning and daily time spent outside. Children move between indoor spaces and nature-based activities throughout the day, and the setting has a home-like feel where staff stay closely involved in both care and learning.



This role is perfect for a Deputy Nursery Manager who is confident in a leadership role but still prefers to be hands-on - comfortable supporting a team, spending time outdoors, and keeping standards consistent across both indoor and outdoor practice.



Before You Apply

* Experience as a Deputy Nursery Manager or similar senior role is required.
* A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification is essential.
* This role is not suitable for candidates without leadership experience in a nursery setting.

What You’ll Need

* Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent)

What You’ll Do

* Support the Nursery Manager with the day-to-day running of the setting
* Lead the nursery in the Manager’s absence
* Maintain EYFS standards, safeguarding, and compliance
* Support and guide staff across rooms and outdoor areas
* Oversee routines, observations, and children’s development
* Build relationships with parents and manage communication
