Rutherford Cross is delighted to be working with a leading international organisation to recruit a commercially minded finance professional into a high-impact supply chain focused role. Working closely with senior stakeholders across the UK and US, the role provides insight, challenge and analysis that directly influences forecasting, performance and decision‑making. The role offers broad exposure across working capital, cost control and long-range planning, combined with strong career development within a highly regarded finance function.
Role Purpose:
To deliver high-quality financial insight and control across working capital and supply chain costs, supporting both UK and US reporting requirements. The role acts as the finance lead for supply chain, providing robust forecasting, detailed analysis and clear commentary, while driving data integrity, continuous improvement and strong cross-functional relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support annual budget setting and quarterly forecasting with detailed analysis and insight
* Track and analyse supply chain performance against budget and forecast
* Provide timely and accurate commentary for the US incurred cost team and local SLC
* Support the Estimate at Complete process through analysis of quarter-on-quarter movements
* Drive continuous improvement in data quality, system integrity and process adherence
* Build strong, trusted relationships across the organisation to ensure EAC inputs are robust, current and fully owned by the business
* Own and coordinate working capital reporting packs for internal and group reporting, ensuring accuracy, clarity and timeliness
* Support and maintain financial models used for quarterly business forecasts and long-range planning
* Review, challenge and analyse quarterly inputs across supply chain, materials and aircraft general supplies
* Partner with supply chain leadership through monthly performance reviews against budget, forecast and annual operating plan, holding stakeholders accountable for actions
* Review cost variation reports and ensure impacts are accurately incorporated into bills of material
* Act as the finance focal point for supplier claims, working closely with supply chain on status, recovery and progress
* Handle and consolidate large volumes of data, producing meaningful analysis through strong Excel and systems capability
* Liaise with external parties including auditors, customers and suppliers where required
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
* Strong communication skills with the confidence to challenge and influence
* Proven ability to identify and drive process and systems improvement
* Experience of accounting in a manufacturing business
* Strong stakeholder management skills, able to work effectively across functions and cultures
* Accounting qualification, studying towards or QBE with significant experience
* Excellent IT skills
* Ability to use knowledge and experience to promote process improvement
* Effective relationship management skills
