The successful candidate will manage a varied and challenging caseload, working alongside some of the most respected specialists in the field.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a caseload of high-value and complex clinical negligence claims, from instruction to settlement or trial.
* Conduct thorough investigations into liability, breach of duty, and causation, liaising with medical experts and counsel.
* Prepare detailed witness statements, pleadings, and schedules of loss.
* Negotiate settlements effectively and provide strategic legal advice to clients.
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory, procedural, and funding requirements (including legal aid where applicable).
* Support junior team members and contribute to best practice sharing across the department.
About You
* Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with a current practising certificate.
* Minimum 5+ years’ PQE in Clinical Negligence (claimant experience preferred).
* Strong understanding of medical terminology, expert evidence, and litigation strategy.
* Proven track record of managing cases autonomously with excellent client communication skills.
* Detail-oriented, empathetic, and passionate about securing justice for clients.
