Our client, based on the outskirts of York, is looking to recruit an experienced Account Manager.
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Account Manager to join a friendly, professional, and driven company that prides itself on being the UK leading training provider in their industry.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and nurturing business relationships, ensuring client needs are met, and providing solutions that support their training growth.
This role requires a strong combination of account management skills, excellent communication, and a deep understanding of B2B processes and dynamics.
Responsibilities:
* Serve as the primary point of contact for the assigned business client.
* Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and trust.
* Understand client goals to provide tailored training solutions.
* Answer incoming calls, handle training inquiries, and provide accurate information.
* Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to meet client needs effectively.
* Monitor account performance and suggest improvements or additional services.
* Coordinate internal and external resources for successful delivery of services and products.
* Drive client retention through exceptional service and prompt resolution of concerns.
* Update CRM database with client information, ensuring details are current.
* Respond to customer emails and calls professionally and promptly.
* Attend exhibitions nationwide and participate in client meetings with colleagues.
Skills and Experience:
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong sales and account management experience, including:
* A background in account management.
* Proven ability to develop and manage accounts.
* Excellent communication skills and a confident telephone manner.
* A professional approach to representing the company.
* Ability to build rapport quickly and effectively.
* Strong consultative skills to understand client needs and identify revenue opportunities.
* Experience in building long-term business relationships through consultative selling.
* Financial control skills, including managing expenditure via purchase orders.
