Job Description
You will be part of a large team of specialists in wastewater networks, river impact assessments, water resources and flood risk. Working closely with engineers and asset planners, you will deliver services for UK and international clients, using both bespoke and industry‑standard hydrodynamic and water‑quality modelling packages, and innovate beyond the current standards.
Responsibilities
* Deliver complex modelling projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary experts and applying numerical skills to environmental engineering projects.
* Analyse large datasets to identify patterns and relationships, providing insights to inform effective decisions and interventions with positive social and environmental impacts.
* Manage projects and maintain client relationships.
* Assist with proposal writing and new business development by providing key technical inputs.
* Support and train junior colleagues, mentoring and developing early‑career professionals where practicable.
Qualifications
* Relevant degree‑level qualifications (e.g. geography, mathematics, environmental sciences, civil engineering or related disciplines).
* Chartered with an appropriate professional body.
* Proven track record in successful delivery of SOAF and UPM projects (all levels) for UK water companies.
* Good understanding of hydrodynamics, sediments and water‑quality processes.
* Expertise in industry‑standard software such as InfoWorks ICM and/or MIKE 11.
* Coding skills and statistical foundations will be an advantage.
* Willingness to innovate.
* Able to guide and mentor junior staff.
