Finance Manager
Harrogate
Office based with great on-site facilities
£45,000– £50,000 depending on experience
Your new role As a senior leader, you will oversee all aspects of financial management — from payroll and budgeting to contracts, audits, and property management — ensuringpliance, efficiency, and sustainability. You will work closely with the leadership team to support strategic growth and maintain robusternance, while championing a person-centred approach.
Some of the Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the development and implementation of financial strategy aligned with organisational goals.
2. Oversee financial operations including payroll, purchase ledger and some credit control functions
3. Prepare budgets, forecasts, and management accounts; monitor performance and take corrective action.
4. Manage contracts and basic procurement
5. Ensurepliance with statutory and regulatory requirements (HMRC,panies House, CQC).
6. Provide leadership to the finance team, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
7. Build strong relationships with stakeholders including local authorities, auditors, regulators, and suppliers.
What you'll need to succeed
Essential:
8. Will consider either Part Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) or equivalent experience as a Finance manager.
9. Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial management, including payroll, budgeting, and reporting.
10. Proven leadership experience within a finance function.
11. Strong knowledge of UK financial regulations, accounting standards, and taxation.
12. Excellent analytical,munication, and problem-solving skills.
Desirable:
13. Experience in adult social care or not-for-profit sector (within Finance)
14. Familiarity with Local Authority contracting and finance.
