AWC Staff Services are looking for a Project Manager to join a growing team delivering essential infrastructure projects within the UK Water sector. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional to lead projects from inception through to completion, ensuring delivery to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the full lifecycle of water infrastructure projects from planning through to completion.
* Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with client requirements.
* Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
* Oversee site activities ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures.
* Monitor programme schedules, risk, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
* Produce and present project reports to senior stakeholders and clients.
* Manage procurement of materials, subcontractors, and resources.
* Ensure all works comply with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Project Manager within the water or utilities sector.
* Experience delivering civil engineering, pipeline, or infrastructure projects.
* Strong knowledge of project planning, cost management, and programme delivery.
* Experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Knowledge of NEC contracts is highly desirable.
* Relevant qualifications in engineering, construction, or project management preferred.
Desirable
* Experience working with major water frameworks.
* Professional accreditation such as APM, PRINCE2, or similar.
* SMSTS / CSCS certification.
