Job Title: Regulatory Manager – Cosmetics

Cpl is collaborating with a growing beauty and skincare company with a large customer base, including high street retailers, online fashion retailers, and licensed products. The focus is on colour cosmetics, skincare, hair care, body care, and fragrances.
We are seeking a Senior Regulatory Affairs Leader to join a dynamic, high-energy team in the Northwest of England. You will be responsible for designing and manufacturing private label and branded cosmetic products from concept to delivery.
As a Regulatory Manager, you will be part of the Regulatory Compliance Team, reporting to the Head of Regulatory, Technical & Quality. Your role involves managing regulatory and technical compliance for all retail partners and products, working closely with NPD teams and the China Factory to ensure compliance for global markets.
Responsibilities:
1. Serve as the primary contact for regulatory inquiries from customers and internal teams.
2. Collaborate across functions, communicating complex regulatory requirements and technical data effectively to ensure successful product launches.
3. Ensure regulatory compliance for all product artworks and marketing messages across channels and markets.
4. Assist in developing and implementing the global regulatory strategy.
5. Support NPD in claims and testing to maximize compliance and product integrity.
6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global regulations to ensure ongoing compliance amidst business growth.
7. Own the development of safe, compliant products, advising on ingredient selection and external consultancy as needed.
8. Prepare and compile technical documentation for submissions, licensing, and change reporting.
9. Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
Qualifications:
1. Must have previous experience in cosmetics regulatory affairs (8+ years).
2. Demonstrable expertise in cosmetic regulatory compliance.
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills at all management levels.
4. Analytical mindset with proactive issue anticipation and resolution skills.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication, detail-oriented, and creative.
6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, start-up environment with a sense of urgency.
This role requires on-site presence in Knutsford. No sponsorship is provided.
