Our PMO Midlands team is looking to expand its Controls community. We are a close-knit team seeking passionate and ambitious candidates across all professional, senior professional, and managerial grades. With exciting regional growth, including new Major Programmes, Projects, and Clients, we are looking for flexible and mobile Planning and Scheduling / Performance Reporting / Risk Management candidates to deliver services locally. Travel within the Midlands is required depending on the project. In return, you will gain access to diverse sectors such as Power, Water, Rail, Mass Transit, Local Authority, and Shipyards. You'll have the opportunity to utilize your expertise to develop bespoke solutions for clients and to enhance your professional growth with support from our network of line managers.
Responsibilities
* Work as part of our Project Controls team on high-profile infrastructure projects, providing performance reporting and analysis support. This may involve working with a large team or as the primary contact with the client.
* Develop work breakdown structures and performance baselines, establish progress and cost monitoring methods, produce control reports, and provide analysis and recommendations.
* Requirements include previous experience in a project controls environment within sectors like Energy, Defence, Rail, Airports, Highways, Water/Utilities, and expertise in Programme Controls Management, Earned Value, Change & Risk Management, Planning, or PMO.
Qualifications
* A relevant graduate qualification with some experience in project control.
* Experience in managing projects or programmes, with responsibilities for delivery or controls.
* Proficiency in Primavera P6, Power BI, Microsoft Office, and similar software.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong time management skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Knowledge of planning principles and schedule construction.
* Experience in schedule quality assurance, baseline management, and performance measurement.
* Ability to monitor project status and foster a positive schedule management culture.
