We are looking for 2 Community Officers, to be responsible for community stewardship. They will look after our customer and stakeholder relationships in the estates and neighbourhoods that CHP are responsible for. The Community Officer will facilitate estate management services by being a visible presence for our customers and ensuring that shared spaces are safe and suitable for all. They will resolve any issues in shared spaces, including some ASB problems.
What you'll be doing
Adopt a multi-agency service delivery approach, where required, to enhance the community or improve the lives of individuals. Work with partner agencies, such as police, councillors, local authorities, children services, education, faith denominations, family welfare, primary health care and voluntary groups to ensure positive outcomes are delivered.
Use all suitable remedies to resolve tenancy breaches including the issuing of tenancy warnings and notices. The role may require the preparation of court paperwork and representing CHP in court action against customers.
Ensure that shared spaces are safe, clean, and well-maintained through regular inspections and engagement with customers, other CHP teams, contractors, and local stakeholders. This includes aspects of fire and building safety, cleaning, refuse collection and grounds maintenance.
Carry out minor building repairs, clear discarded items from CHPs shared spaces, and respond promptly to any issues that could negatively impact on the estates and neighbourhoods.
Follow policy and procedures to deal effectively with fly tipping, neighbourhood nuisance, ASB, and any other issues that impact on the shared spaces CHP are responsible for.
What we are looking for
Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
Proven abilities in delivering housing or estate management services, such as: responding to ASB, domestic abuse, and safeguarding concerns, providing housing-related support, managing communal spaces and estates, completing tenancy administration tasks, or letting properties.
Strong planning and organisational capabilities with a methodical and precise approach to work.
Proficient IT skills, including Excel, office systems and CRM databases.
Excellent communication and interpersonal competencies.
Please note the office expectancy of this role is as follows: This role will be working between the office and travelling out on our estates, Monday-Friday.

37 hours per week - employees may be able to work flexibly by agreement with their line manager, taking account of business need. We operate a hybrid working policy at CHP.
