Due to expansion they are now seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts and Finance Officer to join our finance department and support operations across both our UK and US entities. This is a hands:on role, offering the opportunity to take ownership of key finance functions while also contributing to improvement and integration projects.
The Role This position is based at the head office in North Newbald, just outside Beverley in East Riding. Please note that due to very limited public transport, having your own transport is essential.
As Accounts and Finance Officer, you will play a vital role in strengthening the finance operations. This is more than just a transactional position : its a chance to be part of a company undergoing rapid growth, where your input will directly influence how we scale and evolve.
Key Responsibilities
* Accounts Receivable: Invoicing, maintaining customer accounts, credit control, and debt management (UK and USA)
* Accounts Payable: Supporting reconciliations, aged creditors analysis, and assisting with invoice processing
* Bank Reconciliations: Assisting the finance team with reconciliations
* VAT Returns: Supporting the preparation and submission of UK VAT returns
* Intercompany Transactions: Assisting with postings and reconciliations across entities
* Month:End Support: Contributing to the production of monthly management accounts
* Process Improvement: Identifying and implementing improvements in finance systems and reporting
* Ad Hoc Support: Providing additional support as required by business needs
About You We are looking for a proactive, detail:oriented individual who is eager to grow with the business. The ideal candidate will be organised, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast:paced environment.
Essential Requirements
* Minimum of 3 years experience in a finance role
* Advanced Excel skills (including lookups, pivot tables, reconciliations)
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Confident decision:making in credit risk and debt recovery
Desirable Experience
* Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
* Experience in a multi:entity or international finance environment
* AAT qualified or currently studying towards qualification
