With an interest or expertise in epilepsy, or a willingness to develop this interest, you will be assisted and guided by a Specialty Doctor with Epilepsy Expertise in acquiring this knowledge and skills. Our team works closely with Cambridge University Hospitals, our regional Tertiary Epilepsy Centre.We respect your wellbeing, and we are open to flexibility in your working patterns.Main duties of the jobThe sessional commitments are 10 PAs (8.5 DCC and 1.5 SPA). Any changes in the job plan will be negotiated with the Clinical Lead for the benefit of clinical service delivery.You will be one of 12 on the consultant on call rota but will also be expected to act down to cover vacancies on the middle grade rota. In addition, you will contribute to the paediatric outpatient service and general paediatric clinics as well as potentially, attend subspecialty clinics.Out of hours, you will be covering both general paediatrics and neonatology.As a senior member of the staff, you will teach and supervise trainee paediatricians and VTS trainees, as well as teaching medical students. You will be responsible of your own professional development, as well as of the junior staff you are managing.Participation in clinical governance and audits is imperative. Clinical Experience
