My client is a leading international law firm is seeking a talented Associate or Senior Associate to join its highly regarded Construction Disputes team in London. This is an excellent opportunity to join a market-leading practice advising on high-value and complex domestic and international construction and engineering disputes across major development, infrastructure, and energy projects.
You will advise a broad client base including developers, contractors, specialist subcontractors, investors, infrastructure businesses, and public sector organisations on a wide range of contentious construction matters.
The team handles disputes across multiple forums, including adjudication, arbitration, and Technology and Construction Court litigation.
Typical matters include:
* Delay and disruption claims
* Defects disputes
* Final account and payment disputes
* Professional negligence claims
* Termination and project breakdown disputes
* Enforcement of adjudication decisions
* Multi-party disputes involving consultants, insurers, and contractors
* Risk management and dispute avoidance advice during live projects
You will also gain exposure to disputes arising under key industry-standard contracts including JCT, NEC, and FIDIC.
Suitable candidates are likely to have:
* England & Wales qualification or common law equivalent with at least 4 years' PQE
* Experience in construction disputes gained at a recognised law firm
* Exposure to adjudication, arbitration and/or TCC litigation
* Strong drafting, analytical, and case management skills
* Ability to manage client relationships confidently
* Commercial and pragmatic approach to dispute resolution
