Finance Manager / General Accountant (Subsidiary)

About the Role
We are looking for a highly autonomous and detail-oriented Finance Manager / General Accountant to join our subsidiary. This role is key to ensuring accurate financial operations and reliable reporting to the parent company. You will act as a trusted financial partner locally and a key contact for the head office finance team.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain general and auxiliary accounting (accounts receivable and payable)
* Oversee client accounts, including follow-up, payment reminders, and litigation tracking
* Perform regular account reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance
* Prepare and manage monthly bank reconciliations
* Support quarterly reporting by preparing entries, including:
* Identification of unpaid invoices
* Accruals (invoices to be issued, charges, deferred income, etc.)
* Other adjustments (e.g. participation in advertising costs)
* Coordinate with external/local accountants by:
* Providing necessary elements for the annual financial statements
* Supporting the preparation of monthly payroll and social/fiscal declarations
* Support the subsidiary director with ad hoc administrative tasks
Key Relationships
* Reports directly to the Subsidiary Director
* Acts as the functional liaison with the Group Finance Department, particularly during:
* Quarterly reporting cycles
* Year-end closing processes

Technical Requirements
* Solid experience in accounting and financial reporting
* Proficiency with accounting software and Excel
* Knowledge of SAP is an advantage
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
* Professional accounting qualification such as:
* ACCA, ACA, CPA, CIMA (or local equivalent) – preferred
* Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a similar accounting or finance role
* Experience in subsidiary or international group reporting is a plus
* Strong knowledge of:
* General accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS)
* Financial reporting and closing processes
* Tax and regulatory requirements (local compliance)
* Proven experience in:
* Accounts payable/receivable management
* Monthly and quarterly closing activities
* Working with external auditors or accountants
