Responsibilities
We have an exciting opportunity within the Finance Operations Team for a Finance Operations Administrator based at our Peterborough Head Office.
As a Finance Operations Administrator, you'll play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the organisation. Your role includes creating and sending adhoc sales invoices, updating cashbooks, and posting cash transactions.
This role is ideal for a candidate who can work across multiple priorities quickly and accurately, be confident with IT systems, be flexible and adaptable to change, and have excellent communication skills. You don't need prior experience in a finance team; we're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, wants to learn about finance, and enjoys working as part of a busy team. This role is perfect for anyone looking to develop their career within the Finance industry.
This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week), permanent position. The role is office-based, with flexible working options available when required. The successful candidate must be able to commute to our office in Peterborough, which will be their contractual workplace.
Responsibilities include:
* Preparing and processing ad hoc sales invoices
* Managing billing for service delivery and handling amendments to recurring billing
* Updating CRM systems, sales ledgers, and funder portals as needed
* Posting and allocating receipt transactions from multiple bank statements
* Indexing and managing online document workflows
* Answering phone queries related to accounts payable and receivable
* Preparing and processing month-end and year-end journals
* Processing and recording manual donations (CAF vouchers, cheques, direct debits, BACS transfers, credit cards)
* Ensuring donor information is accurate and GDPR compliant
* Setting up and managing direct debits and standing orders
* Processing finance transactions to maintain sales, purchase, and general ledgers
