HSE Manager - Rail - Egypt
The market leading infrastructure recruitment specialist is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to join a leading contractor on a major ongoing rail project in Egypt.
About the role
We are looking for a highly skilled HSE Brownfield in the railway, will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and environmental compliance of our brownfield sites, in addition to mitigate risks, prevent accidents, and promote sustainable practices.
Responsibilities
* Site Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments of brownfield sites to identify potential hazards, contaminants, or environmental risks
* Risk Management: Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks, ensuring a safe working environment for employees and subcontractors
* Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, national, and international HSE regulations, standards, and best practices applicable to railway brownfield
* Training and Awareness: Provide training and awareness programs for employees, subcontractors, and stakeholders on HSE policies, procedures, and best practices specific to brownfield operations.
* Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into incidents, accidents, or near-misses on brownfield sites, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions
* Environmental Management: Oversee environmental aspects of brownfield sites, including waste management, pollution prevention, and remediation activities
* Reporting: Prepare regular reports on HSE performance, incidents, and compliance status for management and stakeholders
* Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with all teams, regulatory agencies, and local communities to ensure effective communication and cooperation on HSE matters
Required Qualifications
* Education: Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field
* Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in HSE roles, railway brownfield projects
* Certifications: National and International Professional certifications related to the field
* Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills in addition proficiency in HSE management software and tools
* Technical Skills: Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies, safety management systems, and environmental regulations
* Technical Skills: Familiarity with railway systems such as movement of trains and power supply

Salary Package
The salary on offer for this position is flexible depending on years of experience but it will be an international, key expert package
