Are you a nurturing, patient and emotionally intelligent individual looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with social, emotional and mental health needs?
Parker Smith Inclusion is proud to be working alongside a fantastic SEMH primary school with residential provision, recently taken under the wing of a highly respected Trust. This unique setting offers more than just education - it provides a safe, supportive, and family-style environment where children can grow emotionally, socially, and academically.
We are looking for a Residential Care Officer to join a truly exceptional team. With small class sizes, shared mealtimes, and dedicated residential support, this school is a place where staff and students thrive together.
Offering guidance on life skills - from hygiene and relationships to household routines
Accompanying children to appointments and activities - such as doctor visits, shopping or community outings
Monitoring student wellbeing and contributing to reports and observations
Working within small, homely residential houses where children live Monday-Friday in customised spaces that promote independence
Encouraging engagement in evening activities like swimming, cinema, bowling and sports
Supporting students in accessing top-quality facilities including a music studio, swimming pool, and even an on-site farm
You're empathetic, calm, and passionate about helping children who've had a difficult start in life
You're committed to providing structure, care, and consistency in children's lives
