1st Line Support Engineer Job Summary
This role is for a proactive and experienced 1st Line Support Engineer.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in IT support and a passion for customer service, serving as the initial point of contact for all client technical issues.
Key Responsibilities and Skills
The position requires hands-on experience in a helpdesk environment, where you'll be responsible for providing first-line technical support via phone, email, and remote assistance.
Key responsibilities include:
* Ticket Management: Logging, tracking, and resolving support tickets in a timely manner, while escalating complex issues to the appropriate team.
* System and Account Management: Performing routine tasks such as password resets, account setups, and managing user accounts within Windows Server and Microsoft 365.
* Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving issues related to Windows, Mac, and mobile operating systems, as well as providing basic networking support (DHCP, DNS).
* Remote access: Knowledge of VPNs and remote desktop tools to securely and efficiently help clients work from any location.
* Hardware and Peripherals: Configuring and deploying new hardware and software, and completing on-site installations when required.
Experience & Personal Attributes
The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of Microsoft 365 administration and a strong customer service mindset, ideally with previous experience in an MSP or in-house support team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with a proactive, security-focused approach to problem-solving. We are looking for an individual who can multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment and work well as part of a team, with a genuine desire to grow and progress the team.
The business will provide assistance with Microsoft certification and in-house training to upskill your knowledge where required.

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
