Job Title: Residential Support Worker – Children's Home
Location: Bromsgrove, Worcestershire
Salary: £28,000 – £31,000 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week (shift patterns including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins)

The Role
We are seeking compassionate and reliable Residential Support Workers to join our team. In this role, you will provide direct care, support, and guidance to young people, ensuring their safety and wellbeing while promoting their personal development.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality, child-centred care and support
* Build positive, trusting relationships with young people
* Support daily routines, education, and activities
* Implement care plans and behaviour management strategies
* Ensure the home is a safe and welcoming environment
* Work collaboratively with the wider care team and external professionals
* Maintain accurate records and reports
* Follow safeguarding procedures and promote the welfare of children at all times
Requirements
* Experience working with children or young people (residential or similar setting preferred)
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards)
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
* Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
* Full UK driving licence desirable but not essential
