An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Site Manager to join a well-established and growing contractor delivering a range of new build and refurbishment projects across Oxford and the surrounding region.This role is ideally suited to someone looking to take the next step in their construction career, with a business that can offer structured in-house progression into Project Management over time.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced senior managers, gaining exposure to the full lifecycle of projects and developing their knowledge across a diverse portfolio of schemes within the education,mercial and healthcare sectors.

You will play a key role in supporting site delivery across projects ranging from £500k to £5m, while learning from experienced professionals and building the foundations for long-term career progression. With a strong pipeline of both new build and refurbishment works, this position offers excellent variety and the chance to develop broad sector experience in a live project environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Site Manager and Senior Management team with the day-to-day running of projectsAssist with coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and site labourHelp maintain programme, quality and health & safety standards on siteMonitor progress and ensure works are delivered in line with project requirementsAttend site meetings and assist with reporting on progressSupport the management of logistics, materials and site documentationWork collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholdersGain exposure to both new build and refurbishment projects across multiple sectors
About YouPrevious experience in a site-based role, ideally as an Assistant Site Manager, Site Supervisor or Trainee Site ManagerExperience working on construction projects within a main contractor or specialist contractor environmentKeen to build a long-term career in site management and progress into Project ManagementEnthusiastic, hardworking and eager to learn from experienced senior leadersGoodmunication and organisational skillsA proactive approach with strong attention to detailRelevant site qualifications such as SMSTS / SSSTS, CSCS and First Aid would be beneficial
