Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality podiatric care to a diverse caseload, including patients with diabetes, chronic neuropathy, vascular conditions, and basic wound care needs.
* Work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team across a variety of settings including community clinics, patients' homes, residential homes, and hospital clinics.
* Undertake domiciliary visits for housebound patients (non-complex cases).
* Develop and implement individualised care plans under the guidance of Specialist Lead Podiatrists.
* Participate in service development initiatives and clinical supervision.
* Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure equipment and stock are managed in line with departmental protocols.
We also welcome applications from newly qualified or less experienced Podiatrists for a Band 5/6 development role, with a structured support and development programme to help you progress to Band 6.
Location & Travel
The post will be based primarily at Brighton General Hospital, however there will be a requirement to travel to satellite clinics across Brighton & Hove and East Sussex. Therefore, a full driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle is a key requirement for this role.
Qualifications
* HCPC-registered Podiatrist.
* For Band 6: Demonstrable post-registration experience in a range of clinical areas, including high-risk foot care.
* For Band 5: A newly qualified or early-career Podiatrist with a commitment to learning and development.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, carers, and multidisciplinary teams.
* Ability to manage a varied caseload and work flexibly across different clinical environments.
