Teaching Personnel is proud to be working on behalf of a forward-thinking and inclusive primary school in Worthing to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision team.
This exciting role is based within a dedicated facility that provides additional support to children with a range of special educational needs (SEN). These pupils may require time outside of the mainstream classroom to thrive, and the school is seeking a compassionate and proactive individual to support them on their learning journey.
About the Role:
* Support individual and small groups of pupils with a range of additional needs including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health needs.
* Work closely with experienced SEN staff and external professionals to implement tailored learning and support strategies.
* Foster a safe, calm and nurturing learning environment that promotes independence, confidence and emotional resilience.
* Encourage inclusive practices and support reintegration into the mainstream classroom where appropriate.
* Commit to a full-time, long-term role that allows you to build strong and trusting relationships with pupils and staff.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Have a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
* Be patient, empathetic and highly motivated to make a positive impact.
* Be able to follow individual learning plans (EHCPs) and adapt support based on pupil needs.
* Have experience working in an SEN setting, although this is not essential if you have the right attitude and willingness to learn.
* Be available to work full-time, Monday to Friday, during term time.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
