Milk Education is seeking a compassionate, resilient and proactive Behaviour Mentor to support pupils in a vibrant and inclusive school in Enfield. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people.
About the Role
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:
1. Support pupils with behavioural, emotional and social needs
2. Use de-escalation strategies and positive behaviour techniques
3. Build trusting, consistent relationships with students
4. Work 1:1 or in small groups to remove barriers to learning
5. Collaborate with teachers, pastoral staff and SENCOs
6. Help create a calm, safe and engaging school environment
7. Contribute to behaviour plans and intervention strategies
8. Act as a positive role model at all times
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:
9. Patient, empathetic and emotionally intelligent
10. Confident working with challenging behaviour
11. Experienced in a school, youth work or SEN environment
12. Skilled in restorative approaches and behaviour management
13. Able to stay calm under pressure
14. A strong communicator with a team-first attitude
15. Committed to supporting young people to make positive choices
Requirements
16. Experience working with young people in an educational or pastoral setting
17. A current DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
18. Right to work in the UK
19. Relevant training in behaviour management (desirable but not essential)
