Job Overview (Initial contract to 31/08/2026 subject to funding)
Willow Bank School is an SEMH (social, emotional & mental health) provision for pupils aged 8 – 16. We believe we are a centre of best practice for personal development, pastoral care and teaching and learning. We require a dynamic, committed, and hardworking Teaching Assistant to join our team who is passionate about pupil engagement and progression. We are seeking a Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 and occasional classroom support for pupils with complex needs, who can, at times, present with challenging behaviours. Experience of supporting children to regulate and engage in learning and activities is essential, along with a willingness to participate in Team Teach training. Individuals with relevant experience from settings other than education are also encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will be expected to be able to ensure that pupils’ special educational needs are addressed in line with the pupil’s individual EHCP whilst having due regard for the school’s philosophy and policies. Responsibilities

* Work in line with the pupil’s EHCP and school policies, contributing to inclusive teaching and learning.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Experience supporting children to regulate and engage in learning.
* Willingness to participate in Team Teach training.
* Experience from settings other than education is welcome.
