Outreach teams work as the hands and feet of Causeway, traveling into the community to support service users. Outreach coordinators are organized and caring, assisting current advocates with their cases, offering guidance and instruction on safeguarding and complex cases. They also complete administrative duties in line with The Salvation Army Modern Slavery Contract, ensuring KPIs are met across the department. Additionally, they help train and induct new advocates into the organization.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversight of Staff:
o Manage advocates in the team, including interviews, supervisions, appraisals, and managing leave requests.
o Line management of Operations and Assurance Officer.
o Lead team meetings.
o Train new starters and provide ongoing training and coaching for the team, ensuring staff attendance at mandatory training.
o Assist with month-end reporting.
o Monitor staff wellbeing and workload.
o Serve as the first point of contact for your team.
2. Oversight of Casework:
o Be the first point of contact for advocates' queries, including safeguarding incidents, issues, and complex cases.
o Ensure quality and consistency in advocates through quality checks and managing referral and exit checklists.
o Support risk assessments and risk management to effectively manage risk across the team.
o Act as a point of contact for service user complaints when appropriate.
o Ensure TSA KPIs and contractual deadlines are met within relevant timescales.
o Manage a small caseload when necessary.
3. Other Responsibilities:
o Participate in outreach ‘on call’ duties approximately once every four weeks.
o Act as a keyholder for the office about once per week.
o Complete relevant sections of the OR weekly baseline and OR model, along with other administrative tasks to meet internal and external KPIs.
o Attend all relevant meetings (with OR Manager, other Coordinators, Sub team meetings, and Causeway Managers and Coordinators across regions).
o Assist the Service Manager with specific tasks or change management projects as required.
4. Any other duties that are commensurate with the role.
