Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.
Purpose of The Role
BBC Radio Lincolnshire is looking for a driven and creative Executive Producer to help shape the daily output of the station and lead its continued growth across both linear and digital platforms. Reporting directly to the Executive Editor for BBC Radio Lincolnshire & BBC Radio Humberside, you’ll play a central role in guiding the team, steering our editorial direction, and ensuring everything we do reflects the needs and interests of people across Lincolnshire.

Your Key Responsibilities and Impact
* Support the Executive Editor in leading the Lincolnshire team, ensuring delivery against key performance targets and editorial objectives.
* Take editorial and managerial responsibility for programme output across the station, ensuring content is high‑quality, creative and reflects the diversity of Lincolnshire’s communities.
* Lead on ambitious, cross‑platform projects—driving innovation, championing new ideas and finding fresh ways to reach audiences on both linear and digital platforms.
* Use audience insight and the BBC’s Value for All strategy to inform commissioning, content development and community engagement.
* Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring value for money and efficient delivery.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, community partners and key external stakeholders.
* Stay up to date with wider industry trends, emerging digital formats and innovations that can strengthen our editorial offer.
Your Skills and Experience
* A strong track record in radio, with experience delivering innovative, high‑quality content.
* Experience working in a busy newsroom, with sound editorial judgment and strong production knowledge.
* Ability to lead, motivate and support teams, including line management and development.
* Ability to manage resources effectively and lead major editorial projects from planning through to delivery.Experience working with communities and external partners to strengthen local storytelling and outreach.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to give constructive feedback and build positive working relationships.
* Ability to manage multiple projects at once, adapt to changing priorities and work calmly under pressure.
* A genuine passion for Lincolnshire and for reaching and serving opportunity audiences across the county.
