JOB TITLE – Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
ABOUT THE SCHOOL
Prospero Teaching is seeking a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming and supportive Primary School based in Keynsham.
The school prides itself on strong teamwork, excellent leadership, and a commitment to continuous professional development. CPD opportunities are offered throughout the academic year, and depending on performance, this role may be extended or could become permanent.
CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS
1. Location: Keynsham
2. Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
3. Full-Time: Monday to Friday
4. Day Rate: £100 – £130 per day
5. Hours: 8:20 am – 3:30 pm
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
6. Previous experience working in a UK school is mandatory
7. A minimum of 24 months of verifiable, child‑related references is required
8. HLTA qualification or equivalent experience is desirable
9. Experience supporting primary-aged children across different year groups
10. Experience supporting pupils with SEND is desirable, including: Autism Speech & Language Needs
11. Up‑to‑date safeguarding training completed within the last year
12. Strong command of spoken and written English
13. Experience within healthcare or supporting vulnerable individuals is desirable
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
14. Hold the Right to Work in the UK
15. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for a new one
16. Provide two professional, child‑related references covering the last 24 months
