Overview
Aldi UK is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to help run a £multi-million store, motivate and develop a diverse and talented team, and support the Store Manager with day-to-day operations.
You may be involved in deliveries, ordering, and handling customer queries one day, and in people management, performance, and holiday rotas the next. You’ll also contribute to achieving store goals by maximising sales, delivering excellent customer service, minimising costs, and optimising operational efficiency. You should be prepared to step into the Store Manager’s shoes in their absence.
You’ll need to be passionate about doing well, motivating and developing your team to deliver outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
* Support the Store Manager with daily store operations, deliveries, ordering, and customer queries
* Lead and manage people, focusing on performance, development, and engagement
* Plan and organise holiday rotas for the team
* Help maximise sales, deliver great customer service, minimise costs, and optimise operational efficiency
* Be ready to step into the Store Manager’s shoes when required
Qualifications & Skills
* Experienced people-manager
* Habitually leads teams in a fast-paced, stakeholder/customer-driven environment
* Skilled in time management and boosting operational efficiency
* Motivated to consistently achieve targets

Salary & Contract
This salary range is provided by Aldi UK. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. Please note, the salary displayed is based on a 45 hours per week contract. Aldi also offers 32, 36 and 40 hour contracts, and in these instances the salary would be pro-rated.
