Overview
We are seeking a skilled Design Draftsperson with Tekla experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and models for construction and engineering projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects within a collaborative environment, utilising advanced CAD software and drafting techniques.
Responsibilities
* Develop precise 3D models and detailed drawings using Tekla Structures, ensuring they meet project specifications and standards.
* Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to interpret design concepts and translate them into technical schematics.
* Utilise software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, SketchUp, NavisWorks, and SolidWorks to produce comprehensive design documentation.
* Prepare schematics, plans, sections, and elevations for construction purposes.
* Review and revise drawings based on feedback and project updates to maintain accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
* Assist in the coordination of design data across various disciplines to ensure seamless integration of structural components.
* Maintain organised digital files of all drawings and models in accordance with company protocols.
Skills
* Proven experience with Tekla Structures is essential.
* Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, SketchUp, NavisWorks, and SolidWorks.
* Strong understanding of schematics and technical drawing standards within the construction industry.
* Ability to interpret architectural and engineering plans effectively.
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure precise drafting outputs.
* Good communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
