Head of Finance (Part-Time) Torrington Devon £38,000 - £44,000 per annum Our client, a well-established and forward-thinking organisation, is currently seeking an experienced and proactive Head of Finance, to join their dedicated team on a permanent, part-time basis. As Head of Finance, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the organisation's financial operations, providing strategic financial direction, and ensuring full regulatory compliance across the business. The responsibilities: Oversee budgeting, cash flow, income and expenditure, and the preparation of accurate monthly management accounts for senior leadership and governance. Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance, timely financial returns, audits, and robust month-end/year-end processes and reconciliations. Maintain and review financial policies, accounting records, and registers, while monitoring regulatory guidance to ensure best practice. Manage timely payment processing, efficient financial systems, and lead the finance team. Lead long-term financial strategy, providing analysis, forecasting, and insights to support senior leadership decision-making. Oversee multi-year budgets, update projections, model scenarios, and align financial plans with strategic priorities. Maximise funding opportunities and ensure efficient allocation of resources to support strategic objectives. Act as principal financial advisor to senior leadership and the board, oversee major projects and strategic investments, and manage documentation for external audits and statutory reporting. The candidate: AAT Level 4, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent finance/accounting qualification, or demonstrable experience in financial management. Strong knowledge of financial management principles, budgeting, control, and reporting at both operational and strategic levels. Experience preparing and presenting accurate financial reports to senior leadership and external stakeholders. Proven ability to maintain precise financial records and meet deadlines under pressure. Self-motivated team player who can work independently, manage change, and continuously improve processes.
