Overview
North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) established a Patient and Public Panel offering representatives from local communities the chance to influence improvements across emergency, patient transport, NHS 111 and support services. This temporary, full‑time role until 31 January 2026 supports the Panel Facilitator, maintains membership communication and administers a range of administrative functions while developing volunteer potential.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Panel Facilitator in organising meetings and activities for the Panel in line with an agreed work plan.
* Maintain regular contact with Panel members and support meaningful engagement to improve patient experience for the people of the North West.
* Travel around the North West, engaging with and organising meetings and activities for the Panel.
* Provide strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and administrative skills in daily operations.
* Collaborate with the communications and engagement team, participating in hybrid working patterns both in and out of the office.
Qualifications
* Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and administrative skills.
* Desire to support meaningful engagement with Panel members to enhance patient experience.
* Temporary, full‑time commitment until 31 January 2026 with travel across the North West.
* Experience or interest in public and patient engagement within a healthcare setting is an advantage.
