Oakview Medical Practice is seeking one or more friendly and reliable Locum GPs to provide rota support and holiday cover from 23 March 2026 to the week ending 7 August 2026. We would be very happy to hear from clinicians who can cover all or part of this period, with sessions arranged flexibly by mutual agreement with the Practice Manager.
Oakview Medical Practice is a forward-thinking GP partnership serving approximately 9,400 patients across two modern sites: The Vale Centre for Health & Care and Renton Integrated Healthy Living Centre. We are a supportive training practice with a strong multidisciplinary ethos. Our experienced team includes 10 GP Partners, 1 Salaried GP, Practice Nurses, pharmacists, physiotherapist, phlebotomists, a community link worker, and an excellent administrative team, alongside on-site Health Board treatment room services and close working with District Nursing and Health Visiting teams.
We use askmyGP for asynchronous consulting as part of our patient access model. Training and support can be provided, although we are equally happy to accommodate clinicians who prefer a more traditional face-to-face clinic structure.
We offer a standard locum rate of £300 per session, flexible session arrangements, and a friendly and supportive working environment. The practice is located within easy commuting distance of Glasgow, and close to the beautiful Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park.
Applicants must be GMC registered, on the GP Register, and on the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Performers List.
