Our North American Commercial Operations, headquarters, and Technology Centers for Hemostasis and Acute Care Diagnostics are based in Bedford, MA. The Headquarters and Technology Center for Autoimmunity Diagnostics are in San Diego, CA. Additionally, our Technology Centers for Hemostasis and Blood Gas Reagents are in Orangeburg, NY, and San Diego, CA, respectively.
Position Summary:
This role involves planning and controlling inventory of finished goods across warehouses and distribution centers to meet sales and distribution demands. It includes analyzing inventory levels, planned production, and sales forecasts, as well as maintaining inputs to the computerized inventory management system.
Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities:
* Plan and coordinate inventory replenishment with strategic partners, including requisition of purchase and interplant orders; analyze inventory levels and positioning to ensure compliance.
* Meet annual inventory level goals for finished goods.
* Project and minimize scrap exposure by identifying issues and proposing solutions.
* Coordinate shipments to strategic partners, including drop shipments, replenishments, and lot management. Monitor forecast and safety stock levels, and communicate frequently with partners regarding order status, recalls, and shipping issues.
* Review stocking orders for product availability and scheduled ship dates.
* Allocate shelf life products for shipment, ensuring compliance with minimum dating requirements. Project monthly shipments in terms of products, quantities, and value, coordinating with Werfen's shipping operations.
* Develop and maintain inputs to computerized inventory management systems, including forecast adjustments and communication with marketing, manufacturing, and distribution for new product introductions.
* Prepare and distribute weekly/monthly reports on backorders, reagent planning, and related metrics. Perform other duties as assigned.

* Engage with stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Distribution, Finance, Logistics, and Plant Operations.

Qualifications
Minimum Knowledge & Experience:
* 3-5 years of experience in inventory management, material planning, and distribution systems; certification from ASCM or similar preferred.
* Knowledge of Demand Planning and S&OP processes in a mixed distribution environment.
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Economics, or equivalent experience.
* Experience with shelf life-controlled products.
* At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
* Experience with computerized inventory systems, preferably SAP.
* Proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, and word processing.
