Opportunity Overview
The University of Salford is looking to appoint an experienced and professional Operations Manager to join its in-house Security Team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a large, diverse university estate, helping to keep our campus buildings safe, compliant and fully operational for staff, students and visitors. Our Security Team plays a critical role in ensuring the campus is safe, welcoming and fully functional every day.

Key Responsibilities
1. To support and contribute towards the security strategy, based on core principles of deter, detect, delay, mitigate and respond.
2. To manage, when required to do so, supervisors and security officers employed in SIA licensed roles in support of the Universitys obligations under the Private Security Industry Act 2001 and the Licensing Act 2003.
3. To act as the second point of contact for safeguarding concerns, having due regard to the need to prevent people from being radicalised as outlined in the Counter Terrorism and Security Act 2015.
4. To liaise with Greater Manchester Police during the evacuation, invacuation and lockdown of campus buildings in support of the requirements of the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025.
