This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated finance professional to take ownership of the accounts payable function within a supportive and collaborative environment.

The Role

As Accounts Payable Lead, you will oversee the day-to-day purchase ledger function and ensure accurate, timely processing across all accounts payable activities.

Key responsibilities include:

* Managing high volumes of supplier invoices from receipt to payment
* Matching, coding, and validating invoices accurately
* Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies promptly
* Preparing and processing payment runs via BACS, Faster Payments, and card payments
* Acting as the main point of contact for supplier queries
* Processing employee expenses in line with policy
* Maintaining accurate records and supporting month-end close processes
* Reviewing and improving accounts payable procedures and controls
* Supporting the wider finance team when required
