Background to the Role
Redcentric is seeking a bright, enthusiastic individual to join our 2nd Line Technical Support team based in Harrogate. The role requires a technical mindset, but we are also interested in candidates eager to learn and develop their technical careers.
Key Responsibilities
* Technical support, supplier management, monitoring, and customer communication.
* Work within a 24x7 shift environment, providing high-quality service, monitoring, and managing faults to resolution.
* Expand technical knowledge in technologies including broadband, LAN, WAN, WLAN, cellular networking, routing, VoIP, VPN, and environmental monitoring platforms.
* Adhere to contractual SLAs and liaise with colleagues across the business to resolve customer issues.
* Log and resolve customer calls and emails, both out of hours and during office hours, maintaining communication with customers throughout.
Desirable Technical Certifications
* Cisco CCNA
* SIP School SSCA
* ITIL Foundation (awareness)
Hours of Work
The role involves working a rolling continental shift pattern:
* 2 day shifts from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
* 2 night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am
* A 4-day rest period follows the shift cycle.
Flexibility for holiday and sickness cover is required.
