At CrossReach, we support people to stay connected, maintain their independence, and get the most out of day-to-day life. As a Day Care Worker, you’ll be involved in providing practical care and helping create a supportive, engaging environment for those who attend our service.
What you’ll be doing
* Supporting service users with personal care while maintaining dignity and independence
* Acting as a key worker and helping to develop and review individual care plans
* Building positive relationships with service users, families, and carers
* Supporting and leading group activities that promote wellbeing and social interaction
* Assisting with meals, including preparation and service
* Helping to keep the centre clean, safe, and welcoming
* Keeping accurate records in line with organisational policies and SSSC requirements
What we’re looking for
* A caring, reliable, and respectful approach
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Basic IT skills, including use of Microsoft Office
* SVQ Level 3 in Social Care, or willingness to work towards it
* Ability to work in line with CrossReach’s Christian ethos and support service users’ choices in this area
