Specialist Grade in Anaesthesia with an interest in Peri Operative Medicine, we have an exciting opportunity to join our team.
The Anaesthetics department is friendly and supportive. We have achieved ACSA Accreditation for the Royal College of Anaesthetists and are extremely proud of this achievement.
Responsibilities
1. Actively engage and participate in the delivery of safe and effective Anaesthetic services within the Trust (General and regional anaesthesia, and procedural sedation, independently for all patients).
2. Provide independent anaesthetic sessions in Obstetrics, General Surgery, Urology and Orthopaedic Surgery, in addition to perioperative sessions.
3. Actively participate in clinical governance and quality improvement activities.
4. Actively participate in the teaching, training and supervision of anaesthetic resident doctors and medical students.
Additional Duties
* Provide a comprehensive clinical service to patients.
* Always comply with GMC guidance on “Good Medical Practice”.
* Ensure patient confidentiality is always maintained.
* Undertake duties as defined within the attached job plan in agreement with your Clinical Director.
* Be responsible and managerially accountable for the reasonable and effective use of Trust resources and professionally accountable to the Medical Director.
* On commencement, attend the Trust’s corporate induction (or arranged consultant induction).
* Participate in the Trust’s Statutory & Mandatory training programme.
* Be responsible for the clinical management of in‑patients and out‑patients under your care.
