We are now looking for a Recovery Champion to join our Peterborough service. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team you will work with those who are directly impacted by their own substance misuse and the people who care for them, family members and friends; as well as working with key partners to empower communities. Where: Peterborough Hours: 12 per week Contract : Permanent Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours. Salary is subject to review in line with the 2025/26 pay award About the role: P rovide a welcoming and consistent environment in open access area Creat e links with local communities and work to target people affected by drugs and alcohol who are not in touch with mainstream services – those isolated in communities, unaware of services, or who do not feel services are for them A ttend t eam meetings/group supervision with the aim of sharing good practice and finding solutions M eet individuals within the community to discuss their personal goals regarding their recovery and to support families affected by drugs and alcohol to discuss their personal goals and support needs U tilise existing local resources and build local community awareness, signposting to relevant agencies A ssist the Volunteer and peer Mentor Coordinator in setting up and identifying specialist advice /support and recovery opportunities. About you: Live d experience of drug or/and alcohol misuse Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with good IT skills Be a ble to build relationships with individuals with multiple needs, whilst remaining empathetic and non-judgemental towards Service Users Confident in working alone as well as part of a team Can remain calm under pressure Ab le to travel as required, including where public transport is not available What we will give to you: 25 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays. Additionally, you'll receive one extra day of annual leave for each year of service during your first five years, therefore you will enjoy 30 days of leave after five years with us.
