SEN LEARNING SUPPORT COACH – FAREHAM
Prospero Teaching is seeking dedicated, patient, and resilient SEN Learning Support Coaches to join a special school in Fareham for secondary‑aged students who experience learning difficulties, autism, sensory needs, and language challenges.

Key Responsibilities
1. Providing tailored support to pupils with learning difficulties, autism, sensory needs, and language challenges
2. Supporting students with additional needs such as Down Syndrome and non‑verbal communication
3. Using communication aids such as Makaton, PECS, visual supports, and other alternative communication systems
4. Assisting in creative, therapeutic, sensory‑based, and inclusive learning activities
5. Promoting safety, emotional wellbeing, and positive engagement throughout the school day
6. Supporting pupils with daily routines, emotional regulation, communication, and developing independence
7. Using clear, consistent communication to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families
Contract Details
Location: Fareham
Position: SEN Learning Support Coach
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full‑time, temp‑to‑perm opportunities available
Working Hours: 08:30 – 15:30
Pay Rate: From £ per hour
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must:
8. Have the Right to Work in the UK
9. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply)
10. Provide professional references covering the last 24 months, ideally involving work with children or vulnerable individuals
11. Hold a Level 2/3 qualification in childcare, education, health & social care, or have relevant SEN experience
