Overview
Due to expansion within our Primary Care Network (PCN) we have an exciting opportunity for a further Clinical Pharmacist to join our organisation. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic pharmacist to work in ASPIRE PCN. Completion of CPPE pathway and independent prescribing are desirable, but not essential. Two years’ experience of pharmacy within the healthcare setting or equivalent is desirable, but not essential.
Responsibilities
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a partially patient-facing role.
* Take responsibility for areas of chronic disease management and clinical medication reviews.
* Support general practice staff with prescription and medication queries.
* Potentially provide support for the repeat prescriptions system and handle acute prescription requests.
* Conduct medicines reconciliation on transfer of care and contribute to systems for safer prescribing.
* Provide expertise in clinical medicines advice and lead medicines optimisation and quality improvement initiatives.
* Manage aspects of the quality and outcomes framework and enhanced services.
* Engage in PCN-related projects and initiatives.
About Us
Nottingham City General Practice Alliance is a GP federation that supports, connects, and represents General Practices in Nottingham city. We are the lead employer for Primary Care Network (PCN) staff, employing on behalf of our member PCNs. We currently employ 40 Clinical Pharmacists across the city and are close to employing approximately 100 ARRS roles. We have been nationally recognised for our supervision models and have shared our experiences at national webinars.

Essential qualifications
* Registered pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council
* Demonstrates continuing professional development
Desirable qualifications
* Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy
* Independent Prescriber
* Completed CPPE Primary Care Pharmacist Education Pathway
Experience
* Previous primary care experience (desirable)
Knowledge
* Knows and follows professional and organisational policies/procedures relating to the role
* Understands the implications of national priorities for the team and/or service (desirable)
Skills and Abilities
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Proficient in EMIS / SystmOne (desirable)
