Intervention Tutor – Targeted Provision (Berkshire)

Core subject tutoring (Maths, English, or Science) for young people with SEN / SEND, SEMH, and other additional educational needs. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support.
We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN / SEND, including those with SEMH, MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), and SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties). We are looking for SEN / SEND tutors who are passionate about transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners in Berkshire. You will be supported throughout each placement by our SEN / SEND Support Specialists.
This role is ideal for qualified SEN / SEND teachers who enjoy 1:1 tutoring with children and young people with diverse learning needs, in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner to raise engagement and improve educational outcomes.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Young people are referred by local authorities and schools and may require educational and social-emotional support
* Deliver flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring to support their holistic development
SEN / SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities
* Plan each tutoring/mentoring session
* Deliver engaging sessions that meet the young person’s needs and support their educational and social-emotional journey
* Complete lesson reports and provide progress feedback
SEN / SEND Tutor requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years of teaching experience
* Experience working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs
* Knowledge of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (assistance available at cost if needed)
* Two professional references
* UK-based with right to work in the UK, including for remote/online roles
It is a strict requirement to promote health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and to follow safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
SEN / SEND Tutor Employment Status
* Engaged as a Worker for short-term engagements as they arise
* Paid via PAYE under a contract for service
* No guaranteed hours or expenses coverage
* Our insurance covers the work you do
* This is not a self-employed position
