Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Claims & Contracts Manager with expertise in claims and contract administration, preferably with a background in Quantity Surveying for warranty, service, maintenance, and repair contracts related to wind farms across the UK and the EU.
This role is based remotely, with travel to sites and the EU as required. The projects involve offshore wind farms, so experience with service and maintenance contracts in wind energy, oil & gas offshore projects, or power generation is essential.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Identifying, notifying, substantiating, and resolving claims within warranty, service, maintenance, and repair contracts.
2. Building claims awareness and competence within the client organization.
3. Collaborating with colleagues to prepare and follow up on claims, and promoting claims awareness through training and guidance.
4. Managing yourself and others as needed.
About the Client
The client is a firm of claims and contracts consultants based in the EU.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be an MRICS Chartered Quantity Surveyor with substantial experience in contracts management, contract administration, and claims management. A degree in construction or a related field, along with an MSc in Construction Law or similar, is preferred. Excellent communication skills in English are essential, and training in the UK or Ireland is advantageous.
Experience with warranty, service, maintenance, and repair contracts in wind energy, power generation, or oil & gas projects is required. The candidate must be able to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and demonstrate strong client-facing skills.
Compensation
Salary is negotiable, between £85,000 and £100,000 per annum, plus pension and other benefits.
