Role: Senior Care Assistant at HC-One, North Shields, United Kingdom
This is a full-time role working either day or night shifts from 8am-8pm or 8pm-8am. Full flexibility is required.
About the Role
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC-One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. You will help deliver Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care, focusing on personalised care plans that give residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence. You will lead a team of Care Assistants, maintain high standards of care, and influence the team to provide compassionate service. You may assist with activities, support residents and their families, and help with medication administration in collaboration with the Registered Nurse and Care Manager.
You will maintain accurate records of your work and build strong relationships with the team.
Responsibilities
* Lead a team of Care Assistants and ensure the highest standards of care
* Plan and implement personalised care for residents
* Assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager as needed
* Provide physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities
* Administer medications
* Maintain accurate records and comply with care plans
Qualifications
* Ideally completed Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care or NVQ
* Prepared to work towards Level 3 qualification in Adult Care or equivalent
* Background in person-centered care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia
* Strong communication, time-management and record-keeping skills
