Job Role: Support Worker / Care Assistant
Location: Bryn Irfon, Llanwrtyd Wells (LD5)
Salary: £13.20 - £13.90 per hour*
Hours: 35 hours – 3x 11.5 hour shifts per week
Shift Patterns: 08:30–21:00PM (Day support with occasional nights and sleep‑in shifts)
Requirements: Female Support Worker over 18 (genuine occupational requirement). Candidates must be able to travel to Bryn Irfon.
About Bryn Irfon
We provide residential support for eight adults with learning disabilities, challenging needs, and communication difficulties, and also support those with mental health needs. We encourage and motivate each person to feel good about themselves, gain confidence, and lead happy, fulfilled lives.
Responsibilities
* Day‑to‑day support and routine of the people we support.
* Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life.
* Supporting and encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
* Maintaining and helping with health‑care needs, including accompanying people to routine appointments or administering medication.
* Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills, and shopping.
* Assisting with personal care as required.
* Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning and cooking.
* Providing guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.
