FP&A Manager – Legal Services
Up to £70,000 + benefits | Full-time | Permanent | Office-based (East Midlands)
OVERVIEW
AtkinsClarke are actively partnering with a fast-growing, PE-backed legal services group to hire an FP&A Manager. In this role, you’ll spend approximately 60% of your time partnering closely with senior Partners and Directors - providing commercial insight, financial planning, and performance forecasting to drive key business decisions.

This legal services business specialises in wills, estate planning, and probate, operating a national network of offices across the UK. OPPORTUNITY
As FP&A Manager, you will lead financial planning and analysis for the business, act as a trusted business partner to board-level stakeholders, and provide clarity and challenge on performance. Your insight will be critical in helping to shape strategy and drive profitable growth.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning cycles
* Providing monthly / quarterly management reporting, KPIs, and variance analysis
* Partnering with senior Partners and Directors to translate financial data into commercial insight
* Building financial models to support business decisions, new initiatives, and growth plans
* Driving reporting improvements, process efficiencies, and system enhancements
* Coaching and mentoring a small FP&A or finance team (with ~5 indirect reports)
* Supporting business cases, investment proposals, and strategic planning reviews
PERSON
We’re looking for a commercially minded, technically strong finance professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced services business.
You will bring:
* A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
* Substantial experience in FP&A, financial planning, or business partnering, ideally in a professional services or legal services environment
* Excellent financial modelling and analysis skills
* The ability to build credibility with senior non-finance stakeholders
* Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills
* A proactive approach to process improvement and driving performance
