Business Developer / Sales Development Representative

Our client, one of the world's largest manufacturers and suppliers of high-quality perforated metal products, is looking for a Business Development Manager to join them on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager:
1. Manage a group of current and potential medium and major-sized accounts within a specific territory, coordinating with the Internal Sales Associate, with a focus on developing new business.
2. Target industry segments such as Industrial Processing and Building.
3. Achieve budget and performance targets through direct sales, developing profitable accounts, and building long-term customer relationships via sales calls and visits.
4. Identify, qualify, secure, develop, and retain potential new customers for sustainable, profitable sales growth.
5. Apply detailed product knowledge and understand customer business requirements.
6. Ensure market coverage, call plans, visit reports, manage sales funnel, and represent the company at trade events and exhibitions.
7. Implement local Go To Market plans, including CPD presentations to Architects and Contractors, maintaining customer data, and tracking opportunities using Salesforce CRM.
8. Collaborate with Internal Sales Associates on customer solutions, pricing, and proposals to exceed customer expectations.
9. Follow up proactively on quotations, provide feedback, and ensure opportunity conversion.
10. Drive commercial initiatives to meet sales targets and identify new business opportunities.
11. Manage current and potential accounts for profitable growth, establishing relationships with decision-makers and fulfilling contractual obligations.
12. Drive territory coverage, manage quotes, orders, claims, and complaints according to processes.
13. Develop account opportunity plans and monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
14. Plan and execute quality sales calls and visits, producing visit reports.
15. Maintain key account information and ensure CRM data is up-to-date.
16. Develop distribution and partner networks for growth.
Personal Qualifications and Experience:
* Ability to execute sales action plans and monitor personal performance.
* Skilled in account management and stakeholder engagement.
* Proficient in negotiations and deal-making.
* Interest in technology; technical or commercial qualification beneficial.
* Experience in solution-based B2B sales.
* Proven track record of driving profitable sales growth.
* Energetic, articulate, with strong communication skills.
* Commercially aware with a knack for spotting growth opportunities.
* Knowledge of market practices, technology, and competition.
