We are seeking an empathic and enthusiastic assistant psychologist to join our welcoming staff support psychology and counselling service. The vacancy has arisen because the current postholder has successfully gained a clinical psychology training place.
Responsibilities include:
1. Delivering the triage function of our service, offering supportive initial phone calls, and assessing appropriate pathways such as in-house psychology, counselling, or external referrals. Full training will be provided.
2. Involvement in the wider work of the service, including co-facilitation of groups and events, and service evaluation.
3. Providing psychological assessment and interventions under supervision, working independently within a plan and team policies.
4. Utilising research skills for audits, service development, and research initiatives.
5. Assisting with administration, audits, statistics collection, and research projects.
