We’re seeking a Learning Support Mentor to join a dedicated team in a high-needs SEND school in L9. This full-time role offers the chance to work closely with pupils aged 11–16 who present a wide range of needs—including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and complex learning profiles.
What You’ll Be Doing:
1. Providing consistent, compassionate 1:1 and small group support
2. Supporting emotional regulation, behaviour strategies, and personalised learning
3. Using tools like PECs, Makaton, sensory resources, and structured routines
4. Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure holistic progress
5. Adapting activities and environments to meet diverse sensory and communication needs
What We’re Looking For:
6. Experience in SEND or youth support is ideal—but heart, resilience, and adaptability are essential
7. A calm, nurturing presence with strong boundaries and a sense of humour
8. Confidence working with high-needs pupils, including those with challenging behaviours
9. A commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and continuous learning
